** NEW - Assistant Merchandiser

We are currently recruiting for the position of Assistant Merchandiser based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility of the role is to control and monitor the intake of stock in order to achieve planned sales, markdown and terminal stock plans. Also, assisting the Junior/Senior Merchandiser in the trading and planning functions.  

Other responsibilities in this role will be;

Direct and supervise the MAA team to ensure all planned intake is recorded and updated accurately, managed through the DC/QC process then released in line with plan

Propose products to repeat to the Junior/Senior Merchandiser, following through with the Buying team if signed-off

Update and reforecast selected category WSSIs, highlighting problem areas and opportunities on a weekly basis

Produce lessons learnt packs with commentary and conclusions

Attend Review and Confirmation meetings, undertaking any relevant analysis that will facilitate decision-making

Review reporting requirements and advise on and carry out any developments required

Initiate and communicate on-going intake forecasts for warehouse unit planning

Supervision and training of the MAA team, monitoring performance and developing skills to fulfil their job description and VIPs

Demonstrate confidence of all systems to enable review of their effectiveness, proposing changes of any current process with a view to improvement

 

Key skills required;

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel

Ability to process and analyse large amounts of complex numerical data

Confident working with numbers and strong retail maths

Astute and commercial with exceptional business acumen

** NEW - Merchandising Administration Assistant

We are currently recruiting for the position of Merchandising Administration Assistant based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility of the role is to monitor intake of stock, and accurately and commercially set allocation and replenishment levels across all brands and product areas in line with product merchandising and channel requirements to maximisesales and profit. Also assisting with the commercial decision making process and in the provision of analytical back up and support.

Other responsibilities in this role will be;

To ensure all lines are allocated accurately on the system according to the Merchandising distribution range plan in a timely manner for picking and dispatch.

Provision of analytical back-up and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the team.

Accurate maintenance of the merchandising systems to assist in the decision making process.

Be aware of any changes to delivery quantities which will, in turn, affect allocation. Communicate changes to relevant team members / departments.

Identify risks and opportunities highlighted by branches, using relevant reporting to identify priorities for investigation and actions required taking into account space and potential issues.

Answer general queries and develop strong working relationships with the Buying team, Distribution Centre and Customer Services regarding product.

Assisting in the production of both in-season and end of season analysis under supervision of the Assistant Merchandiser to influence current trading and future planning and distributing to all relevant personnel.

Key skills required;

Excellent administration skills including excel

Ability to work to deadlines

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

The overall responsibility of the role is to deliver to a high standard the company VM creative that will inspire and entice customers in line with the Hobbs vision.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Supporting Day to Day  - the VS Team and Vm of all UK stores

Managing Real Life Handling Pack from the Area team to be sent out to stores

Communicating Trade Information to the Visual Team

Policing Standards

Working closely with all Area Manager to manage visuals and commerciality across the areas

Seasonally set up the Company Seasonal Visual Standards and individual COE stores, ensuring all is visually on brand and commercial

Ensure that key commercial areas of the sales floor and windows are being maximised and monitored through effective visual presentation.

Regularly visit competitors in key marketplaces to keep up to date with visual concepts and current trends and communicate this back to the VM team proposing ideas where appropriate

Ensure that detailed product presentation is communicated, setting and agreeing standards and benchmarking against competitors.

Brand adjacencies and product layouts to maximise sales potential.

Ensure the retail teams have a clear understanding of the visual standards expected within branch. 

Act as a role model to the Visual Specialists and the rest of the team.

Balance aesthetics and commerciality to provide visually appealing displays to maximise sales.

Train and coach effectively, articulating the visual strategy to the team and other branches.

Key Skills & Qualities:

Microsoft Office

Previous exposure of working within a senior Creative/Visual role

A marketing or visual related degree or equivalent

A strong people manager with the ability to coach and develop a team
