Assistant Buyer

We are currently recruiting for the position of Assistant Buyer based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility of the role is to offer full support to the Buyer/Junior Buyer for the overall delivery of a profitable and commercial range, ensuring that strong product development reflects the creative vision of Design.

Other responsibilities in this role:

Ensures the product process is managed effectively and is able to start recognising the impact of product change, or delays in the path that may impact both Hobbs and the Supplier

Drives and participates in the Critical Path meetings, supporting the BA to ensure that the meeting is effective and decisions are made in a timely fashion.

Assists with the development of product and understands the importance of dual sourcing/costing and sealing in order to achieve margin and delivery KPI’s

Supports the Buyer/Junior Buyer by ensuring all samples are available and has an understanding of the overall business calendar/critical path when working with developments

Responsible for ensuring all proto samples are received on time for meetings and ensures full costing breakdowns are submitted and prices collated onto the range plan.

Checks new developments against the Design Specs and shares opinions with Buyer and Designer

Escalates any issues with Samples in advance of key meetings and offers solutions to remedy such

Prepare for and attend fit meetings. Contribute to fit meetings by raising any concerns with regards to fit, quality of make or performance of trims/fabrics.

Work closely with your Buyer on price negotiations to ensure margin targets are met whilst maintaining the integrity of the product and the Hobbs brand.

Ensure the CIMS order management system is accurate and reflects order commitment on contracts, fabrics and trims.

Key skills required;

Is able to manage workload in accordance to business needs

Asks for support and direction to develop skill base

Responsible for maintaining data and understands the importance of accurate, timely filing

Able to gather information to make better and informed decisions

Digital Marketing Co-ordinator

We are recruiting for the exciting position of Digital Marketing Co-Ordinator in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of digital marketing and online trading. Key responsibilities include managing the email and affiliate marketing program, coordinating cross channel strategy, producing reporting and managing the digital marketing invoicing and budget processes.

Other Key Responsibilities:

Help deliver and execute the digital marketing strategy to drive traffic to the site.

Work closely with the wider Marketing and Brand Identity teams to co-ordinate the email marketing and affiliate plan and manage input from key stakeholders.

Run weekly reporting on the effectiveness of marketing emails, and work with the Ecommerce Manager to use this data to inform future email planning. Work with the Web Developer to ensure that all emails are correctly tracked.

Plan email tests (such as creative A/B testing) and report on the results to drive conversion and engagement.

Assist the Ecommerce Manager in implementing the email marketing development plan.

Day-to-day management and optimisation of the affiliate marketing program includes managing the relationship with affiliate agency, approving affiliates, briefing Creative on collateral and reporting on sales.

Day-to-day management of display programme (includes managing the relationship with display agency, briefing Brand Identity on collateral and reporting on sales).

Day-to-day management of the invoicing and budget management in Digital Marketing

Alongside the Ecommerce Manager, manage the relationship with external search agency (SEO & PPC) to ensure deadlines are met and to communicate business activity and developments.

Essential Skills and Experience Required:

Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills.

Knowledge of Google Analytics and Cheetahmail (ESP) preferred but not essential.

Minimum of 1year’s experience in Online Marketing, either in-house or agency

An enthusiasm for Digital Marketing and e-Commerce, including an understanding of all online marketing channels and key metrics.

Store Development and Facilities Co-ordinator

We are currently recruiting for the position of Store Development and Facilities Coordinator based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility of the role is to co-ordinate facilities management across the Hobbs estate, Retail, Head Office and Distribution, alongside managing reception and buying administration teams.

Other responsibilities in this role:

Act as liaison between Property Manager and project management function.

Update the critical path on all projects and coordinate both at store and head office level.

Act as custodian of opening and closing process to ensure all projects are delivered on time.

Ensure all capital budgets and expenditure are recorded and within budget.

Communicate all store development projects to IT, Marketing, Retail operations and merchandising teams.

Manage logistics in terms of refurbishment and relocation of equipment.

Maintain an overall record of maintenance budget and expenditure.

Authorise unplanned maintenance up to the value of 1000.

Seek authorisation of maintenance work over 1000 in a timely manner.

Ensuring that statutory certification and registration is correctly filed and estate registers are kept up to date.

Communicate with HR representative on a regular basis for updates and cascade accordingly through retail services.

Ensure all fire certificates are in date in stores and communicate accordingly.

Report on all compliancy across business for the quarterly Health and Safety Meetings

Key skills required:

Previous experience working in retail development is required as is an understanding of the Health & Safety implications

IOSH Qualified

Effective use of spreadsheets and critical paths

Demonstrable commercial acumen

Junior Garment Technologist

We are recruiting for the role of Junior Garment Technologist based in our Head Office in Central London. The overall responsibility of this role is to support and assist the Senior Garment Technologist in working closely with the Buying team and Supplier/Manufacturers.  The Junior Garment Technologist works to support consistent premium product quality is developed directly at source with Supplier/Manufactures, which is fully aligned with the business and department objectives. 

Some Key Responsibilities:

Supports communication of technical product specifications including wash care instructions to assist ‘Best Practice’ in product development.   Promotes ‘Right First Time’ approach to sealing submission.

Assists in the sealing process – supporting fit programs for the QA department to ensure achievement of the Buying critical path and delivery schedules required by the business.

Working closely with the Senior Garment Technologist, supporting continuity of communication across supply base and product type in line with differing fabrications, identifying and analysing problems proposing solutions to influence key decisions taken by the business within the season to translate the needs of the Design and Buying teams into the delivered product.

Develops close working relationships with all Suppliers to improve understanding of manufacturing capabilities.

Supporting the Senior Garment Technologist to identify the need for supplier evaluation, monitoring and revising development plans providing feedback on performance of supply chain – promoting quality assurance 

Skills Required;

A relevant degree or equivalent

IT literate with skills in Word, Excel and Outlook packages

Keen to be innovative and creative in working methods

Professional and credible with the ability to work on  own initiative

Able to multi task and prioritiseeffectively

Flexible to adapt daily and weekly plans to reflect changing circumstances to ensure the quality
