Junior Garment Technologist

We are recruiting for the role of Junior Garment Technologist based in our Head Office in Central London. The overall responsibility of this role is to support and assist the Senior Garment Technologist in working closely with the Buying team and Supplier/Manufacturers.  The Junior Garment Technologist works to support consistent premium product quality is developed directly at source with Supplier/Manufactures, which is fully aligned with the business and department objectives. 

Some Key Responsibilities:

Supports communication of technical product specifications including wash care instructions to assist ‘Best Practice’ in product development.   Promotes ‘Right First Time’ approach to sealing submission.

Assists in the sealing process – supporting fit programs for the QA department to ensure achievement of the Buying critical path and delivery schedules required by the business.

Working closely with the Senior Garment Technologist, supporting continuity of communication across supply base and product type in line with differing fabrications, identifying and analysing problems proposing solutions to influence key decisions taken by the business within the season to translate the needs of the Design and Buying teams into the delivered product.

Develops close working relationships with all Suppliers to improve understanding of manufacturing capabilities.

Supporting the Senior Garment Technologist to identify the need for supplier evaluation, monitoring and revising development plans providing feedback on performance of supply chain – promoting quality assurance 

Skills Required;

A relevant degree or equivalent

IT literate with skills in Word, Excel and Outlook packages

Keen to be innovative and creative in working methods

Professional and credible with the ability to work on  own initiative

Able to multi task and prioritiseeffectively

Flexible to adapt daily and weekly plans to reflect changing circumstances to ensure the quality

Merchandising Administration Assistant

We are currently recruiting for the position of Merchandising Administration Assistant based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility of the role is to monitor intake of stock, and accurately and commercially set allocation and replenishment levels across all brands and product areas in line with product merchandising and channel requirements to maximise sales and profit. Also assisting with the commercial decision making process and in the provision of analytical back up and support.

Other responsibilities in this role will be;

To ensure all lines are allocated accurately on the system according to the Merchandising distribution range plan in a timely manner for picking and despatch.

Provision of analytical back-up and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the team.

Accurate maintenance of the merchandising systems to assist in the decision making process.

Be aware of any changes to delivery quantities which will, in turn, affect allocation. Communicate changes to relevant team members / departments.

Identify risks and opportunities highlighted by branches, using relevant reporting to identify priorities for investigation and actions required taking into account space and potential issues.

Answer general queries and develop strong working relationships with the Buying team, Distribution Centre and Customer Services regarding product.

Assisting in the production of both in-season and end of season analysis under supervision of the Assistant Merchandiser to influence current trading and future planning and distributing to all relevant personnel.

Key skills required;

Excellent administration skills including excel

Ability to work to deadlines

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Facilities Co-ordinator

We are currently recruiting for the position of Facilities Coordinator based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility is to co-ordinate facilities management across the Hobbs estate, Retail, Head Office and Distribution, alongside managing reception and buying administration teams.

Other responsibilities in this role:

- To be a second line support for all store and DC, facilities management, maintenance and minor works.

- Be an interface between the stores and appointed contractors ensuring maintenance, both planned and ad-hoc is delivered to the required standard.

- Assist the Property & Facilities Manager in tendering and managing key suppliers and contractors

- To be the main point of contact for all Head Office facilities and maintenance queries and as part of this be responsible for the smooth running of the Retail Facilities help desk.

- To manage the Buying Assistant, ensuring they provide the business with requisitions and services in a timely and efficient manner including finding and booking the most efficient travel and hotel accommodation for employees where required.

- To manage the Reception team, ensuring the service provided by Reception is efficient and in keeping with Hobbs brand values.

- To be an ambassador for Health & Safety across the Company and be the point of contact for RIDDOR reporting and H&S compliance.

Key skills required:

- Appropriate H&S qualification

- Graduate caliber or equivalent

- Experience in retail Facilities management would be an advantage

- Tendering experience would be an advantage

We are recruiting for a Web Store Administrator for our Distribution Centre in Harlesden, London. The overall responsibility for this role includes day to day processing of refunds and oversells to ensure that the Web Store achieves and exceeds performance targets and can deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

-Ensures that all tasks are completed, in order to fit with the Web Store priorities of maximizing performance and giving excellent customer service

- Help ensure a stock accuracy of 99.5%

- Ensure that all refunds/oversells are accounted for

- Communicating with other departments on a daily basis to ensure the business is aware of issues and how they will be resolved

- Deals with all returns coming into the Web Store accurately and according to company procedure, completing, processing and filing relevant paper and system work

- Consistently drives themselves in a dynamic way to achieve targets set

- Maintains an effective running of the area according to the relevant instructions
