Store Development and Facilities Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for the position of Store Development and Facilities Coordinator based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility of the role is to co-ordinate facilities management across the Hobbs estate, Retail, Head Office and Distribution, alongside managing reception and buying administration teams.

Other responsibilities in this role:

Act as liaison between Property Manager and project management function.

Update the critical path on all projects and coordinate both at store and head office level.

Act as custodian of opening and closing process to ensure all projects are delivered on time.

Ensure all capital budgets and expenditure are recorded and within budget.

Communicate all store development projects to IT, Marketing, Retail operations and merchandising teams.

Manage logistics in terms of refurbishment and relocation of equipment.

Maintain an overall record of maintenance budget and expenditure.

Authorise unplanned maintenance up to the value of 1000.

Seek authorisation of maintenance work over 1000 in a timely manner.

Ensuring that statutory certification and registration is correctly filed and estate registers are kept up to date.

Communicate with HR representative on a regular basis for updates and cascade accordingly through retail services.

Ensure all fire certificates are in date in stores and communicate accordingly.

Report on all compliancy across business for the quarterly Health and Safety Meetings

Key skills required:

Previous experience working in retail development is required as is an understanding of the Health & Safety implications

IOSH Qualified

Effective use of spreadsheets and critical paths

Demonstrable commercial acumen

Junior Garment Technologist

We are recruiting for the role of Junior Garment Technologist based in our Head Office in Central London. The overall responsibility of this role is to support and assist the Senior Garment Technologist in working closely with the Buying team and Supplier/Manufacturers.  The Junior Garment Technologist works to support consistent premium product quality is developed directly at source with Supplier/Manufactures, which is fully aligned with the business and department objectives. 

Some Key Responsibilities:

Supports communication of technical product specifications including wash care instructions to assist ‘Best Practice’ in product development.   Promotes ‘Right First Time’ approach to sealing submission.

Assists in the sealing process – supporting fit programs for the QA department to ensure achievement of the Buying critical path and delivery schedules required by the business.

Working closely with the Senior Garment Technologist, supporting continuity of communication across supply base and product type in line with differing fabrications, identifying and analysing problems proposing solutions to influence key decisions taken by the business within the season to translate the needs of the Design and Buying teams into the delivered product.

Develops close working relationships with all Suppliers to improve understanding of manufacturing capabilities.

Supporting the Senior Garment Technologist to identify the need for supplier evaluation, monitoring and revising development plans providing feedback on performance of supply chain – promoting quality assurance 

Skills Required;

A relevant degree or equivalent

IT literate with skills in Word, Excel and Outlook packages

Keen to be innovative and creative in working methods

Professional and credible with the ability to work on  own initiative

Able to multi task and prioritiseeffectively

Flexible to adapt daily and weekly plans to reflect changing circumstances to ensure the quality

Merchandising Administration Assistant

We are currently recruiting for the position of Merchandising Administration Assistant based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility of the role is to monitor intake of stock, and accurately and commercially set allocation and replenishment levels across all brands and product areas in line with product merchandising and channel requirements to maximise sales and profit. Also assisting with the commercial decision making process and in the provision of analytical back up and support.

Other responsibilities in this role will be;

To ensure all lines are allocated accurately on the system according to the Merchandising distribution range plan in a timely manner for picking and despatch.

Provision of analytical back-up and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the team.

Accurate maintenance of the merchandising systems to assist in the decision making process.

Be aware of any changes to delivery quantities which will, in turn, affect allocation. Communicate changes to relevant team members / departments.

Identify risks and opportunities highlighted by branches, using relevant reporting to identify priorities for investigation and actions required taking into account space and potential issues.

Answer general queries and develop strong working relationships with the Buying team, Distribution Centre and Customer Services regarding product.

Assisting in the production of both in-season and end of season analysis under supervision of the Assistant Merchandiser to influence current trading and future planning and distributing to all relevant personnel.

Key skills required;

Excellent administration skills including excel

Ability to work to deadlines

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
