Web Developer

We are looking for an innovative Web Developer to join our Head Office Ecommerce Team, based in the heart of Central London, to help facilitate the technical delivery and maintenance of all aspects of the company's website.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years commercial Web Development experience building websites using PHP, HTML, CSS, Objected orientated methodologies and MySQL.

Role and Responsibilities

Working closely with the creative and web content team to produce templates for web pages

Undertake general site maintenance and troubleshoot to provide appropriate solutions if and when problems occur

Developing HTML templates with CMS integration in mind

 

Testing all code/applications/sites prior to release (operating with an uncompromising attention to detail)

Support, produce and build emails and manage successful deployment

Liaising with external suppliers to coordinate deployments and raise any technical issues

Supporting the E-commerce content team and customer services team with any technical queries

Ability to provide accurate web development estimates, good communication skills and an excellent team player

Carry out weekly out of hours cover as part of the rota

Key skills required

Assistant Buyer

We are currently recruiting for the position of Assistant Buyer based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility of the role is to offer full support to the Buyer/Junior Buyer for the overall delivery of a profitable and commercial range, ensuring that strong product development reflects the creative vision of Design.

Other responsibilities in this role:

Ensures the product process is managed effectively and is able to start recognising the impact of product change, or delays in the path that may impact both Hobbs and the Supplier

Drives and participates in the Critical Path meetings, supporting the BA to ensure that the meeting is effective and decisions are made in a timely fashion.

Assists with the development of product and understands the importance of dual sourcing/costing and sealing in order to achieve margin and delivery KPI’s

Supports the Buyer/Junior Buyer by ensuring all samples are available and has an understanding of the overall business calendar/critical path when working with developments

Responsible for ensuring all proto samples are received on time for meetings and ensures full costing breakdowns are submitted and prices collated onto the range plan.

Checks new developments against the Design Specs and shares opinions with Buyer and Designer

Escalates any issues with Samples in advance of key meetings and offers solutions to remedy such

Prepare for and attend fit meetings. Contribute to fit meetings by raising any concerns with regards to fit, quality of make or performance of trims/fabrics.

Work closely with your Buyer on price negotiations to ensure margin targets are met whilst maintaining the integrity of the product and the Hobbs brand.

Ensure the CIMS order management system is accurate and reflects order commitment on contracts, fabrics and trims.

Merchandising Administration Assistant

We are currently recruiting for the position of Merchandising Administration Assistant based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility of the role is to monitor intake of stock, and accurately and commercially set allocation and replenishment levels across all brands and product areas in line with product merchandising and channel requirements to maximise sales and profit. Identify risks and opportunities highlighted by branches, using relevant reporting to identify priorities for investigation and actions required taking into account space and potential issues.

Answer general queries and develop strong working relationships with the Buying team, Distribution Centre and Customer Services regarding product.

Assisting in the production of both in-season and end of season analysis under supervision of the Assistant Merchandiser to influence current trading and future planning and distributing to all relevant personnel.

Store Development and Facilities Co-ordinator

We are currently recruiting for the position of Store Development and Facilities Coordinator based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility of the role is to co-ordinate facilities management across the Hobbs estate, Retail, Head Office and Distribution, alongside managing reception and buying administration teams.

Other responsibilities in this role:

Act as liaison between Property Manager and project management function.

Update the critical path on all projects and coordinate both at store and head office level.

Act as custodian of opening and closing process to ensure all projects are delivered on time.

Ensure all capital budgets and expenditure are recorded and within budget.

Communicate all store development projects to IT, Marketing, Retail operations and merchandising teams.

Manage logistics in terms of refurbishment and relocation of equipment.

Maintain an overall record of maintenance budget and expenditure.

Authorise unplanned maintenance up to the value of 1000.

Seek authorisation of maintenance work over 1000 in a timely manner.

Ensuring that statutory certification and registration is correctly filed and estate registers are kept up to date.

Communicate with HR representative on a regular basis for updates and cascade accordingly through retail services.

Ensure all fire certificates are in date in stores and communicate accordingly.

Report on all compliancy across business for the quarterly Health and Safety Meetings

Key skills required:

Previous experience working in retail development is required as is an understanding of the Health & Safety implications

IOSH Qualified

Effective use of spreadsheets and critical paths

Demonstrable commercial acumen
