Receptionist - Head Office

 We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and resourceful individual to fill the position of Receptionist based in our Head Office in Central London. This role will report directly to the Resourcing Manager and will work closely with Head Office departments as well as external suppliers.

The overall responsibility of this role is to ensure a seamless “front of house” operation, consistent with brand image as well as provide ad-hoc administrative assistance when required.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for all visitors and provide a welcoming and professional reception service.
  • Filter phone calls in a professional manner, transferring to the correct person and taking concise and accurate messages that are passed on promptly.
  • Ensure that the reception area reflects the brand at all times and that all visitors are welcomed in a way that delights them and creates a lasting positive impression.
  • Ensure all external visitors comply with office and building security procedures.
  • Distribute post.
  • Manage post for parcels that need to be sent and any courier collections.
  • Frank Company post in time for daily collection.
  • Ensure that post area is tidy and organised at all times.
  • Compose and send Head Office or Companywide emails when required.
  • Book taxi’s on account when requested.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team when required.
  • Manage Employee Discount scheme by creating cards for all new starters, auctioning amendments and generating replacement cards.
  • Provide contingency administrative support to other Head Office departments in agreement with the Learning and Development Manager.
  • Undertake general administration duties as requested including photocopying, binding documentation, sending faxes, emails and letters.

·         Maintain an accurate and easily accessible manual/electronic filing.  Archiving documentation when directed.

 

Key skills and attributes required

·         Proven and successful track record within a front of house/reception role

·         Excellent telephone manner

·         Ability to create a lasting and positive first impression for all visitors  

·         Adaptable and can work at pace

·         Time management

·         Confident, mature and confidential with the ability to deal with people at   all levels

·         Can demonstrate credibility and appropriate verbal and non-verbal behaviour with clients, Directors and colleagues, adapting style where necessary

·         Maintains good performance and quality of work under pressure and is prepared to manage change at the last minute

·         Able to develop a rapport with internal contacts and takes time to get to   know key contacts

·         Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, has  the ability, confidence and maturity to convey  information clearly, concisely and      persuasively

Junior Garment Technologist

 We are recruiting for the role of Junior Garment Technologist based in our Head Office in Central London. The overall responsibility of this role is to support and assist the Senior Garment Technologist in working closely with the Buying team and Supplier/Manufacturers.  The Junior Garment Technologist works to support consistent premium product quality is developed directly at source with Supplier/Manufactures, which is fully aligned with the business and department objectives. 

Some Key Responsibilities:

·     Supports communication of technical product specifications including wash care instructions to assist ‘Best Practice’ in product development.   Promotes ‘Right First Time’ approach to sealing submission.

·     Assists in the sealing process – supporting fit programs for the QA department to ensure achievement of the Buying critical path and delivery schedules required by the business.

·     Working closely with the Senior Garment Technologist, supporting continuity of communication across supply base and product type in line with differing fabrications, identifying and analysing problems proposing solutions to influence key decisions taken by the business within the season to translate the needs of the Design and Buying teams into the delivered product.

·     Develops close working relationships with all Suppliers to improve understanding of manufacturing capabilities.

·     Supporting the Senior Garment Technologist to identify the need for supplier evaluation, monitoring and revising development plans providing feedback on performance of supply chain – promoting quality assurance 

Skills Required;

·     A relevant degree or equivalent

·     IT literate with skills in Word, Excel and Outlook packages

·     Keen to be innovative and creative in working methods

·     Professional and credible with the ability to work on  own initiative

·     Able to multi task and prioritise effectively

·     Flexible to adapt daily and weekly plans to reflect changing circumstances to ensure the quality
