Assistant Buyer - Head Office
We are currently recruiting for the position of Assistant Buyer based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility of the role is to offer full support to the Buyer/Junior Buyer for the overall delivery of a profitable and commercial range, ensuring that strong product development reflects the creative vision of Design.
Other responsibilities in this role:
·         Ensures the product process is managed effectively and is able to start recognising the impact of product change, or delays in the path that may impact both Hobbs and the Supplier
  • Drives and participates in the Critical Path meetings, supporting the BA to ensure that the meeting is effective and decisions are made in a timely fashion.
  • Assists with the development of product and understands the importance of dual sourcing/costing and sealing in order to achieve margin and delivery KPI’s
  • Supports the Buyer/Junior Buyer by ensuring all samples are available and has an understanding of the overall business calendar/critical path when working with developments
  • Responsible for ensuring all proto samples are received on time for meetings and ensures full costing breakdowns are submitted and prices collated onto the range plan.
  • Checks new developments against the Design Specs and shares opinions with Buyer and Designer
  • Escalates any issues with Samples in advance of key meetings and offers solutions to remedy such
  • Prepare for and attend fit meetings. Contribute to fit meetings by raising any concerns with regards to fit, quality of make or performance of trims/fabrics.
  • Work closely with your Buyer on price negotiations to ensure margin targets are met whilst maintaining the integrity of the product and the Hobbs brand.
  • Ensure the CIMS order management system is accurate and reflects order commitment on contracts, fabrics and trims.

Merchandising Admin Assistant - Head Office
We are currently recruiting for the position of Merchandising Administration Assistant based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility of the role is to monitor intake of stock, and accurately and commercially set allocation and replenishment levels across all brands and product areas in line with product merchandising and channel requirements to maximise sales and profit. Also assisting with the commercial decision making process and in the provision of analytical back up and support.
Other responsibilities in this role will be;
·         To ensure all lines are allocated accurately on the system according to the Merchandising distribution range plan in a timely manner for picking and despatch.
·         Provision of analytical back-up and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the team.
·         Accurate maintenance of the merchandising systems to assist in the decision making process.
·         Be aware of any changes to delivery quantities which will, in turn, affect allocation. Communicate changes to relevant team members / departments.
·         Identify risks and opportunities highlighted by branches, using relevant reporting to identify priorities for investigation and actions required taking into account space and potential issues.
  • Answer general queries and develop strong working relationships with the Buying team, Distribution Centre and Customer Services regarding product.
  • Assisting in the production of both in-season and end of season analysis under supervision of the Assistant Merchandiser to influence current trading and future planning and distributing to all relevant personnel.

Buying Admin Assistant - Head Office
We are currently recruiting for the position of Buyer’s Administration Assistant based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility of the role is to provide timely and accurate Administrative support to the Buying team to achieve all elements of the critical path, in order to enable the Buyer and the team to deliver a profitable and commercial range, that maximises every sales opportunity.
Other responsibilities in this role will be;
·         Carry out general administrative duties, including filing, photocopying, data inputting, managing emails, answering the telephone and managing post.
·         Prioritise and proactively manage lab dips (including bulk), trims (development and bulk), prints, sample requests.
·         Support Garment Tech and Assistant Buyer in prioritising for fit meetings. Produce agenda in line with Critical Path priorities and takes all comments/notes in the fitting session.
·         Raise Purchase Orders for confirmed orders and maintain and amend where required.
·         Chase Suppliers for delivery/shipment dates in line with the critical path
·         Sample Management - maintain the sample library.
·         Upload style specific information for the web team.
·         Order swing tickets and labelling in a timely manner ensuring the input of accurate information.
·         Manage and build relationships with suppliers and maintain contact both on email and over the telephone.
·         Trend awareness through inspiration shopping and competitor shop reports to maintain a good commercial understanding of the market.

Stock Controller - Distribution Centre - Harlesden

 We are recruiting for a Stock Controller for our Distribution Centre in Harlesdon, London. This role is responsible for all day to day stock accuracy in the DC, all pick and tidy procedures in the DC on a daily basis and ongoing PI of all DC stock.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Ongoing review of all stock counting processes in the DC and Stores and recommending change where appropriate
  • Deals with stock discrepancies in-store; stock consolidation; recall, and stock check reporting
  • Representing the DC in cross-department meetings with regards to stock accuracy.
  • Management of DC staff seconded to the stock counting process on a daily basis
  • IT-Literate and capable in utilising Microsoft Office for the purpose of the role, especially Excel and Word.
  • Proficient in using CIMS
  • Seeks opportunities to develop and learn and is committed to own training using Hobbs methods and resources
  • Is flexible to work shifts throughout the day and can be available for occasional weekend and out of hours work to ensure accuracy

IT Support Analyst - Head Office

 We are currently recruiting for the position of IT Support Analyst based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London.

 

The main responsibilities in this role will be;

·         To assist the head office user base and resolve these support issues and advise users, utilising the resources available.

·         To assist and support the store base with queries regarding the store till application.

·         To answer queries raised against store back office systems used across the store base.

·         To build and maintain hardware within the business – from Windows Desktops to Mac’s. You will be required to support Printer and IT peripherals used within the business.

·         To help support and maintain multiple server platforms used within Hobbs environment, they will range of Windows platforms to UNIX and Linux Platforms. These servers can be physically based at Hobbs as well as remote off site support.

·         To log issues with Third Party vendors relating to head office and store systems. You will also be integral to maintaining the relationship with these third party vendors.

·         You will also play an integral part in facilitating the delivery of projects within the organisation – which will require involvement with various different departments. 

 

Key skills required;

·         Good understanding of General IT and knowledge of Windows Operating Systems

Fabric Technologist - Head Office (temporary)

 We are currently recruiting for the position of Fabric Technologist (6 month temporary) based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The main purpose of this role will be to ensure that prior to bulk orders being placed, all our fabrics are fit for purpose on their own or in combination with each other, taking into account all trims and the styling of the garments.

The main responsibilities in this role will be;

  • To chase in available base test reports and solve possible issues directly with the mills/garment makers.
  • To attend selection meetings on a regular basis
  • To manage wearer trials

 

  • To collaborate with the QC team and the internal creative development team
  • To manage independent testing requests
  • Be point of reference when/if issues arise on bulk fabric reports and mediate between manufacturers and mills where necessary.
  • To find alternative and more affordable suppliers for trims and linings, maintaining the Hobbs quality level.
  • Print out and log invoices on Quest and question any discrepancies.
  • To create a delivery sheet for each season, updating the same on a regular basis
  • Attend courses (as agreed with manager) to further enhance knowledge within the testing, trading standards and social/ethical compliance areas and communicate it to relevant teams.
  • To help maintain the fabric files for each expression of the brand
  • To help clear the fabric archive twice a year
  • Be responsible for the lining library and if required, source new linings

Key skills required;

Website and UX Analyst - Head Office

 We are currently recruiting for the position of Website and UX Analyst, based in our Head Office in the heart of Central London. The overall responsibility of the role is to deliver in-depth website and market analysis, providing insights to help develop an optimal customer experience and ever-improving online conversion rate, in line with the multi-channel business plan and overall international ecommerce strategy.

The main responsibilities in this role will be;

Website analyst

·         Create and maintain daily, weekly and monthly KPI reports and as well as ad hoc reporting. Reports cover site / desktop / tablet / mobile and Hobbs’ international websites

·         Use purchase funnel analysis to identify improvement areas

·         Identify performance goals for new projects and create reports to share the insights, as well as proposing analytics tagging to fill any gaps in current data collection

·         Support managers by providing analysis and commentary to supplement board-level presentations, reports and business cases

UX

·         Diagnose site issues, propose fixing projects, help supervise and check UX practitioner’s output, with the objective of continually improving on-site UX and conversion

·         Create a qualitative and quantitative site testing strategy and tactical timeline, including identifying key tools to use and/or collaborative suppliers where necessary

·         Conduct A/B/MVT testing based on analysis and your understanding of business priorities

·         Conduct/commission  user testing/research exploring customer behaviour and motivations

Technical skills required;

·         Proven experience working in web analytics (at least 2 years’ experience)

·         In depth knowledge of Google Analytics, including customisation, goals, segments, dashboards and custom reports.

·         Experience of Google Universal Analytics is desirable.

·         Ability to use APIs to populate spreadsheets with GA data is an advantage

·         Advanced Excel skills including charting and pivot tables

·         Some experience in AB / MV and usability testing software

·         General understanding of what UX is and experience in investigating what’s wrong, suggesting fixes and measuring the positive outcome

Web Developer - Head Office

We are looking for an innovative Web Developer to join our Head Office Ecommerce Team, based in the heart of Central London, to help facilitate the technical delivery and maintenance of all aspects of the company's website.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years commercial Web Development experience building websites using PHP, HTML, CSS, Objected orientated methodologies and MySQL.

Role and Responsibilities

·         Working closely with the creative and web content team to produce templates for web pages

·         Undertake general site maintenance and troubleshoot to provide appropriate solutions if and when problems occur

·         Developing HTML templates with CMS integration in mind

 

·    Testing all code/applications/sites prior to release (operating with an uncompromising attention to detail)

·         Support, produce and build emails and manage successful deployment

·         Liaising with external suppliers to coordinate deployments and raise any technical issues

·         Supporting the E-commerce content team and customer services team with any technical queries
